Autumn charm sedum
Autumn Charm is a highly decorative hybrid of Autumn Joy which has large dark pink flower heads and variegated foliage. The dark green-cream edged foliage compliments the stunning flower which blooms
from late
July thru October. Sedums are useful in any type of garden or container and attract butterflies and birds. This low maintenance perennial enjoys gritty, fast draining soil and prefers the hot sun.
PEST ALERT: Keep an eye out for the Viburnum Leaf Beetle
The viburnum leaf beetle (VLB) is an invasive insect that feeds exclusively on and can significantly damage Viburnum species. VLB is native to Europe and has first been spotted in Milwaukee in 2014. The pest is now found scattered across much of Wisconsin. Over the last four years, VLB has rapidly grown to epidemic proportions.
Severe VLB infestations can cause complete defoliation of a viburnum shrub, as the beetles feed in both adult and larval stages. In spring, the VLB larvae chew holes in viburnum leaves creating a lace-like pattern. In late June and early July, ...

My five other favorite annuals
My other 5 favorite annuals are the base of annuals plantings. They are the spaghetti the meatballs are put in. The Ice cream the cherry goes on top of. They are the base because they all are easy to grow, fill in nicely and bloom continually through the summer.

Pine Lake Auto Court 2018 Wisconsin NARI Gold Award and 2017 WLCA Award Winner
Hawks Landscape took home a Gold this weekend at the NARI remodeling awards! The award was for the design and construction of a beautiful project on Pine Lake in Wisconsin! This elaborate design centered on a large brick and stone auto-court along with unique granite walls and cut stone steps. Great job to all of the Hawks team for putting this gorgeous job together!
Certainly not the average home landscape, this beautiful project in Chenequa, WI utilized clay brick, granite pavers and cut lannonstone inlays to create a large and elaborate auto court. Cut ...
